Seiko announced two Seiko 5 Sports watches collaboration with Honda to celebrate the Super Cub.
The original 5 Sports watch and the Honda Super Cub were both released in 1968. As such, they celebrate their 55th Anniversary in 2023.
The Super Cup exceeded 100 million units of total production in 2017, which shows how popular the model was.
Seiko will be releasing 2 models:
The Seiko 5 Sports SRPJ49 (JDM reference SBSA181) reproducing the most popular Super Cub colorway (green and off-white) – limited to 6,000 units (300 for Japan only).

And the Seiko 5 Sports SRPJ75 with a black and gray dial, case and strap – limited to 5,000 units internationally.

Both models have circular hour markers at 11, 12 and 1 o’clock, replicating the turn indicators and headlight of the front of the bike
The SRPJ49 / SBSA181 and SRPJ75 use the standard 5 Sports case and the 4R36 automatic calibre. They will be available in November 2022.
